      Perhaps we are bragging...

but Florida really does have it all!

Lifestyle Choices

The Beach and Boating:

Florida is a peninsula with three sides of our state on the water. There are superb beaches that offer miles of white sand. If you enjoy small, soft waves the Gulf Coast area from the Panhandle area to the lower Keys is just about perfect! The swimming is wonderful and relaxing. There are thousands of islands to tie up your boat and camp out. Or explore the natural beauty of sun, sand and tropical plants.

If you are a surfer, the best waves are along the Atlantic coast from Jacksonville to Key West. Plus a lot more! Try your hand at treasure hunting. Gold doubloons and pieces of eight can be found in several areas of the east-central Florida coast line. Spanish ships from the "Gold Fleet" (late 1400's to early 1500's) lay just off the beach. Explore ST. Augustine, the "first settlement" in Florida. Or you can just relax and enjoy an afternoon of leisure.

Central Florida is filled with fresh water lakes, rivers and natural springs that gush out millions of gallons of fresh water every minute. Canoe or kayak through a forest of trees and wildlife... or drift along with the current with a baited line over the side. Watch as wild turkeys frolic in a near by field or quietly enjoy flocks of birds as they fly overhead.

Sports - Golf, Tennis, and Spring Training:

It would be easy to start an argument about which area of Florida has the most golf courses. There are world class golf resorts around the entire state and that's just a drop in the bucket. Residential Community Developers have a history and tradition of including Golf courses at their developments. Many offer 36 holes of golf or more. Complimented with beautiful clubhouses and facilities...  it's a combination that is hard to beat! Community swimming pools, whirl-pool spas, work out and exercise rooms, tennis courts, game rooms, recreation and craft areas and usually a great restaurant and club are often included in these residential developments.

Sportsmen can also find plenty of public lands that may be available during hunting season. If you're like me, I use a camera when I go hunting. It's a photographers wonderland. Fishing is great in every area of Florida and wildlife is easy to find. In Central Florida and areas south you can enjoy Spring Baseball training. Snorkel or dive in places like Crystal River or at one of the many artificial reefs located around the state. If you like sports...   you'll love Florida!

Historic Florida:

Florida has a rich tradition of historic sites! St. Augustine was founded by the Spanish who built a beautiful Fort that stands today as a great attraction for visitors. Small towns all through the center of Florida offer a unique perspective of our culture. From the Suwannee River (Stephen Foster) to Cross Creek (Rawlings) to Arcadia (Antique Stores) and a lot more for you to explore.

The telegrapher's station (Fort Myers) where the announcement about the sinking of "The Maine" (Havana, Cuba) first arrived is still standing and a short drive down a palm tree lined boulevard will take you to the winter homes of Thomas Alva Edison and his good friend Henry Ford. Don't forget to  check out America's Space Coast at Cape Canaveral where our brave explorers leave Earth to explore the galaxy!

Living Styles:

Single Family homes are everywhere and are a great place to live and raise your family. There is a wide choice of communities close to schools, shopping, work centers and all the amenities that a large community can offer. There is also an excellent choice in rural communities that include ranch estates, farms and secluded privacy. If you are tired of taking care of the lawn and outside maintenance, look for the perfect condominium or town house. You can choose from golf course  residences right next to the green or perhaps a waterfront condominium that includes a complete marina for your boat or yacht.

Raise horses or cattle....   plant an citrus grove or farm crops...  attend a Philharmonic Concert or Off Broadway show... Play Racquet Ball or a game of Golf.....  visit a Casino or take a cruise.... watch a Horse race or a Stock Car race....  Catch a Trophy Tarpon or fight and land a Snook.... enjoy a local Parade down main street or visit a Theme Park with a Parade every two hours.... go running down a jogging path or catch a nap in your hammock.....  the choices in Florida are endless!
